WATER HEATER INSTALLATION, REPAIR, AND REPLACEMENT
Do you require the services of a Plumber for your Water Heater?
Water heaters are among the most important components of any home. Heating your water is ideal for the everyday luxuries we enjoy, such as hot showers. When they need to be repaired, however, people often put it off because they are afraid of the bill.
Symptoms of a Dying Water Heater
You can treat a water heater similarly to a person. Based on the age of the water heater and the quality of the water pumping through its system, there is a lot to learn about it. We recommend looking for symptoms in three ways: the water, the age, and the sounds.
The Water
There are two tell-tale signs that something is wrong.
- The water is rusted. If the water is rusty, it means that it has been sitting for far too long or that it is beginning to erode the interior of the system. Both are unsuitable for daily use.
- If there is water near the machine’s base, there is a problem. This indicates that there is a leak, which indicates that something has been completely eroded. These are the most dangerous because they can cause fires.
The Age
Water heaters may have a relatively long shelf life, but that doesn’t change the fact that they have an expiration date. If they are nearing the end of their lifespan, you should request a replacement or repair because there is a very sharp cutoff point between them being fully functional and posing a deadly risk.
Rumbling and Noise
If you hear noises coming from your water heater, this is not a good sign. That means there is a ‘sediment’ at the bottom of the tank. When water that isn’t very pure enters a system, it will boil and harden at the bottom of the tank, reducing efficiency.
